Promoting A Better Commute Process
Commuting to work can be an interesting concept. It can contribute to a lot of pollution in the air, when there are perhaps more economical ways of getting to work. So, what can you company do to promote a better commuting process?
Car Sharing
First of all, you might want to think about running a car share campaign for your company. Do many people drive in from similar neighbourhoods? Or from out of town? Car sharing can help to reduce the amount of pollution, save on car running costs, and free up parking around the office. Perhaps limiting parking spaces can help you here.
Bike Access
If you want to allow those that work somewhat locally to have the option of getting to work without the use of their cars, you may also want to start a company bike scheme. Having a range of bikes available may mean that your staff can bike to and from work, as well as where they need to go at lunch, which can help to minimize pollution.
Public Transport
But then you’ll also want to make sure that you look into the different options for public transport around your city too. Most of the time, you’ll find that there are great metros links, as you can see in the infographic below. Especially for the people that need it. But there’s also shared bike asses to get to the metro too, so bear this in mind. You may find it’s of huge interest to your workforce.
