You have hired them to do a job and you must also consider that it’s up to you to provide them the tools to do it. You don’t need to indulge in those inspirational briefs in the morning when your team work from home, and you don’t have to go through boring team-building games, but you do have to consider that when your staff work remotely, you can meet their needs.
Asking your staff is the first step, and the next you have to think about how you can ensure that you can keep them motivated from home. If they need your help with, you need to make sure that the right people are there to talk your staff through how to fix any bugs. When you have people working remotely, you want them to be effective and you want to support them as much as possible. How To Ensure Your Team Is Equipped
When you give your staff the tools they need to do the job, you go beyond just ensuring that they have a desk and a chair. They need the right computer, the right VPN and the right VoIP, every relevant resource required to get their job done every day. If you ensure that those resources are in the best working order, you will be able to keep your business afloat.
If you ask your employees what they need to be successful when working remotely, you may hear other items that will help, such as external hard drives and headsets for working calls. If your outbound sales staff or your customer service staff are working at home, you need to provide them with the right furniture and working equipment to make sure that they can connect to those calls and see those numbers go up.

Nobody wants to spend all of their time trying to get hold of a manager or a team leader only to neer get connected to them.
